New Fall Wardrobe

Yesterday was the first time I actually "shopped" or Georgie. All of her clothes thus far were provided by her grandma's.

We left the apartment around 1:30pm (after her two hour nap) and walked down Atlantic Street towards the Atlantic Street Mall. Granted there's not much there, I've never been down that way before and was interested since the new stadium is being built directly across the street. The area is very diverse with the Long Island Railroad entrance next door to the mall. It's very busy with vendors populating the streets.
The walk is about 15 minutes with a stop to get some ice coffee along the way. The entire time, Georgie stares at passerby's and with a nonstop smile on her face. It's rather comical. We went to a handful of stores because I wanted to buy things that are rather inexpensive since she grows out of everything so quickly and is getting to the age where everything becomes a mess. Whether it's eating, playing, or drooling, her outfit, guaranteed, will be ruined by the end of the day. Anyway, I noticed that a majority of the clothes I purchased were from the little boys department. Let's see...I bought her a Spiderman shirt, suede booties, a cargo jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, and a few long sleeve tee shirts for layering. Since Fall is my favorite time of year and layering is my favorite Fall accessory, I'm making sure Georgie has enough clothes to provide her with a layered look but with a feminine twist such as a jean skirt, tights, jeggings, or her signature bow.

Another thing to keep me busy this week is to start packing up her 3-6 month clothes. I remember just unpacking them and thinking, wow is she getting big!
