Snuggle Bunny

Since I can remember I've been teaching Georgie how to give hugs and kisses. No lie, she might be the most affectionate baby! 

Not only does she give hugs and as of recently, kisses but today she blew me a kiss! When I pick her up from her crib, stroller, etc. and ask for a hug, she hugs and then starts to pat my back. It's hilarious. 

Bringing up babies

Due date for baby #2 is July 23rd, which happens to fall on our anniversary. Georgie and baby will be 18 months apart. We will be finding out the sex next month and can't wait.

On one hand, I hope for another girl so that Georgie can have a sister but on the other hand, a baby boy would be wonderful because then we'd be done! If a third child is thrown into the mix, so long Brooklyn.

16 weeks

Dada's Girl!

I spend all day, every day with my lil princess. I mean I can't even go to the bathroom without hearing her little hands and feet crawling across the floor to see where I'm at. We are attached at the hip. I owe this close relationship to my wonderful, hard working husband. I'm blessed enough to be a stay-at-home mom.

It's time to face the facts, Georgianna is a BIG time dada's girl. The second he walks through the door, all things are dropped from her hands or mouth and straight into his arms she goes. I have to admit that at first I was a little jealous but nowadays, it brings such a smile to Georgie's face that I can't help but love every minute of it.

Back in the Saddle Again

Last time I "blogged" was around October of last year and boy oh boy has a lot been going on since!

It's been a long day so I'm going to make this short and sweet.

We finally moved into a two bedroom apartment in Cobble Hill. The day we signed the lease was the day we found out we were expecting! Couldn't have happened at a more appropriate time. I swear, if we were to have stayed in our small, one bedroom apartment with two babies, I would've lost my mind or at least have developed a more severe case of OCD.

 Georgianna is getting so big. She has her own cell phone, she's eating big girl food, she's walking with assistance, and not to mention has a personality that makes Lil' Kim look like a saint (Mike you know what I'm talking about).

Nowadays, we keep ourselves busy at music class, the gym, long walks, and eating. I feel so blessed to have a daughter that eats as much as mama.

Anyway, good to be back and more to come.

Wednesday Oct 17th

It's been a while since my last post. I thought since Georgianna has changed so much over the past few months, why not check in!
It's Fall! We are registered for Fall music classes at Artscetera. Last time we were there, Georgie was about four months old. I'm so excited to see how much she's going to enjoy the all the kids and of course the cheesy music. I have to say, Georgie is obsessed with other kids. She gets so excited every time a kid walks by us that she literally turns bright red, shakes to the point where I get scared, and screams out loud. My best friend Mike and I were out the eat last week and this five-year-old, chubby little girl walked up to Georgie's stroller and held her hand almost the entire time. Georgianna was in her glory!
Another thing that I am really enjoying right now are her dancing skills. Whether it's music from the television or from one of her toys, her hamster body moves to beat. Her arms are short and her tummy is big, hence the hamster reference. I'm still confused though why she shakes her head "no" when I sing to her :/
It really is a bittersweet emotion to see your baby grow so quickly. My husband and I recap the day every night before bed as I show him pics/videos that I took throughout the day. I'm so very thankful to be able to capture the years that seem to fly by.

Life's a Beach

I feel like it's been forever since I blogged! Lots going on here. Georgie is going to be eight months on Friday. She is now able to sit up, play patty cake, and shake her head no. She's getting so big. Bittersweet.

We just got home from a week's vacation in Charleston, South Carolina. It was an xmas gift to the family from our parents. There were 15 of is total and we had a blast! The house was beautiful and the weather was so-so. We did lots of shopping, played football on the beach, swam in the pool (which was in the backyard), fished, played cards/board games, watched movies, and ate really well. Ray took my brothers, Chris and Troy to the gym every morning and put them through a workout. Halfway through the week, they weren't able to walk!

I think one  of my favorite parts of the vacation was seeing Georgie with her cousins. Georgie just loved seeing those girls every morning. Georgie inherited a new nickname brought-to-you-by Blythe...Jewelry. Another favorite moment was seeing Ray with Georgie all week. That doesn't happen all the time and I was more amazed everyday on what a good dad he is.

All in all, there wasn't any drama other than my brother, Taylor, pretending he was the crocodile hunter and had a sting ray leap from one of the waves and its tail go directly through his wrist. Ironic no?




I'm very thankful to my parents for the gift and the memories. It's not everyday you get to see your entire family and have everyone get along! Looking forward to the next get-together!
